Race to Reduce - Building Performance Award

December 5, 2013 - At the Metro Convention Centre, 483 Bay Street received a significant energy performance award from Greening Greater Toronto’s Race to Reduce Program.

483 Bay Street was awarded the Building Performance Award in the over 1,000,000 s.f. category for the Lowest Energy Use (ekWh/s.f.) in an office building. This recognizes 483 Bay Street as the top performing office building in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton region. This is the second year that 483 Bay Street has received this award after receiving it in 2011.

More than 170 real estate owners, managers, and tenants from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton region took part in the event. Competition for the awards was fierce: over 380 landlords and tenants entered the Race to Reduce since its launch in May 2011, representing over 30% of the region’s office space.
