The Outstanding Building of the Year is awarded to the highest scoring building in each category of the Certificate of Excellence in the Toronto Area. This award is commonly known as the Oscar of the Commercial Real Estate Industry and comes with a great deal of prestige. 245 Yorkland, the winner in their category, will now proceed from winning the Toronto BOMA level to competing in the BOMA Canada National level against other buildings across the country in St. John’s Newfoundland this September.
At the 2019 BOMA Excellence Awards in Toronto, Northam was represented on stage not once, but four times to receive awards. The buildings listed below were awarded with the Certificate of Excellence and The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) in their respective categories. We are pleased to share the standard of excellence that this represents.
We are pleased to announce that 133 King Street East in Toronto has been awarded with BOMA BEST Silver. This is a great achievement on a historical, electrically heated building with a very challenging budget. BOMA Canada developed this unique certification program in order to recognize and reward environmental leadership and energy performance within Canada’s commercial real estate industry. Congratulations to Natalie Presot, Caroline De Barra, Chris Federchuk and their team at 133 King Street East on this impressive achievement!
