Wednesday May 25, 2022 BOMA Toronto hosted their Certificate of Excellence Awards Ceremony Gala, at the Fairmont Royal York. We are pleased to announce that Northam was represented not once but four times. We are delighted to share the standard of excellence that this represents.

BOMA Building and Management Awards of Excellence Winners
The BOMA Certificate of Excellence is a certification program involves many months of preparation by all building staff. Competitors must meet and exceed standards in building management, operations and design, tenant relations and community impact, energy management and conservation, emergency preparedness, environmental, regulatory and sustainability initiatives, and training of building personnel.

The Earth Award Winner
The Earth Awards provide BOMA Toronto with the opportunity to recognize and promote “environmental stewardship” in the building industry, which is celebrated to raise awareness of environmental issues. The BOMA BEST program not only assists members in achieving the award/certification but provides a blueprint for making properties more environmentally responsive and energy efficient while reducing operating costs. All BOMA BEST recipients are automatically entered in BOMA Toronto’s annual Earth Award Program. An Earth Award is presented to the highest scoring BOMA BEST certified building in the six different categories. The winners of this category will now proceed from winning at the BOMA Toronto level to competing at the BOMA Canada National awards this September against other building’s across the country.

The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award Winner
The Outstanding Building of the Year is awarded to the highest scoring building in each category of the Certificate of Excellence, within the Toronto Area. This award is commonly known as the Oscar of the Commercial Real Estate Industry and comes with a great deal of prestige. The winners of this category will now proceed from winning at the BOMA Toronto level to competing at the BOMA Canada National awards this September against other building’s across the country.

We are incredibly proud of these accomplishments and wish to congratulate; Hao Le and his team for winning the Certificate of Excellence in the Office Building 100,000 – 249,999 Sq. Ft. category (125 Commerce Valley Drive West).

We salute all of the hard work and diligent preparation that went into these competitive submissions while upholding the Northam standard within our industry. I would like to also thank Ashley Pablo Mota and Stan Jones for their hard work and dedication in making it come together. Finally, I would like to wish 2 Carlton Street best of luck in the upcoming TOBY International competition next month in Nashville on June 28th.
